As a matter of principle, Nori did not do a lot of stealing of horses. Why, one might ask? Because they were large, loud, and generally skittish ad he did not fancy being kicked at. It might muss his hair. Or kill him. Neither sounded like the kind of thing he was interested in no matter how much money was in the act.
But today things were a little different.
As per usual, Nori was in deep with the wrong sort of people. But not as usual was just how deep he was in. He needed to make very much gold very quickly, and horses fetched a nice price no matter where they were bought or sold.
The unfortunate thing was that Nori was not educated enough in horses to know what kind of prices they would fetch and the sight of one dwarf with one horse was odd enough, but two horses that the dwarf couldn’t even ride? Nori was running a very big risk untying the two steeds from the keep outside the bar in the blue mountains.
The fortunate thing was that he’d made sure their owners were so sloshed they’d never notice.
"There’s a good gal…’er lad…’er wha’ere ye are." he muttered to the horse, guiding the white and brown steeds gently away from the tavern, saddlebags and all.
